This week’s Fifty-Two on Friday theme is Pretend. Having three kiddos, this is a theme I know all too well. With my oldest daughter being 4 1/2 and my son having just turned 3, I think they live in the “pretend” world almost as much as they live in the “real” world. Whether it’s rocketing into outer space, riding a choo-choo train, opening up restaurants, building castles, or chasing monsters, all they want to do is pretend. And they especially love pretending in their play kitchen. They’ll whip up all sorts of soups, salads, and desserts. This time Hayley wanted Colin to make brownies and her and her dog Golden. And Colin was all to eager to make them! He put on his little chef’s hat and oven mitts and went to work. And those were some mighty good brownies, and calorie free too!
