Disneyland – We made it! {Jack and Jane Photography}

Yeah!  We finally made it to see Mickey Mouse!  When I injured my knee this past May we had a trip planned the next week to Disney World.  My three year old was SO excited, but OH SO SAD when we had to cancel the trip.  So, we decided to make it up to her by going to Disneyland in July.  Well . . . the night before we were supposed to go to Disneyland my husband sprained his ankle!!!!  With me on crutches and my husband also unable to walk, we were a pretty sorry sight!  But, I just didn’t have the heart to break the news to my daughter that we couldn’t go YET AGAIN to Disney World/Disneyland.  So . . . I found a babysitter through a nationwide agency called Care.com and while my husband rested in the hotel, we took Hayley to Disneyland!!!

Once we figured in tickets, parking, food, and sitter fees, our that afternoon at Disneyland cost well over $300, but the moment I saw my daughter light up when she saw Mickey Mouse as entered Main Street, I knew it was SO worth it!!!  We rode one ride – Dumbo (and saw got her pink elephant).  We spent the rest of the time in Toon Town, Fantasyland, and the Princess Faire getting autographs from all the characters. That’s all she wanted to do, so that’s what we did. :o)

P.S. I know a lot of photographers who take in their fancy cameras to Disneyland and get amazing pictures.  Well, I just don’t trust myself. So, these pictures were shot on my trusty $300 Olympus. It’s water proof and virtually unbreakable! What’s not to love?!   I did though he a little fun in Photoshop.
